Code to save Christmas

Christmas is coming and we're here for it! This Pink Sunday we'll have a jolly good time with new and old friends - all while solving the first Advent of Code challenges together. Keep the festive spirit high, have some yummy Christmas fika and come hang out with Pink Programming and Verisure! 

We are very sure this December afternoon will turn out merry and bright! 

Inspirational panel: Aranya Rahman will talk about her journey from being a participant at the last Pink Sunday with Verisure, to now be working there as an IT Dev Integration Analyst!

Workshop: Help us save Christmas - the programmer kind of way! We will solve the first few puzzles of this year’s Advent of Code challenge, code along style in Java. 

Level: Intermediate (more info further down)

Level of workshop: Intermediate: basic knowledge of Java is recommended to participate in the workshop. If you want to come hang out and solve the coding puzzles using another coding language - that's of course okay too! Just be aware that the workshop and code mentoring will be focused on Java. <3

Preparations: Bring your laptop! Follow the instructions in this GitHub repo before the workshop.

Aranya's first contact with Verisure was during the last event with Pink Programming and Verisure in April. As a result of the event she now works with Information Security at Verisure. How cool is that!


After completing her education in web analytics she joined Verisure in August 2022. Before she began her journey at Verisure she did an internship at an IT consulting firm. During this inspirational session you'll hear about Aranya's journey into the field, what a normal work day looks like, and much more. Of course you'll get the opportunity to ask questions as well!

    Antonina Tellow - Pink Programming

    Pink Advent of Code

    Come join Antonina in saving Christmas! We will hack Christmas by solving the first few problems of this year’s Advent of Code challenge in Java, code along style. 

    What is Advent of Code you may ask? It's a yearly programming challenge where you get to solve one programming problem a day from 1-25 December, to save Christmas. The problems can be solved in any programming language. The first ones are easier, but they get tougher the further you get. It's a fun programming challenge, and we'll take you through the first few challenges together, code along-style! 

      Preparations: Follow the instructions in this GitHub repo before the workshop!
